The crown procedure can be done with simple local anesthetic, so there are no incisions or sedation required. Even teenagers can benefit from having compromised teeth crowned.
What happens during the procedure for Ceramic Dental Crowns?
Local anesthetic is administered to make the procedure comfortable for you. We then smooth down and file the tooth so that it makes room for the new crown. An impression is taken of the area so that we can craft both a temporary and permanent crown. You will go home with the temporary crown and come back for the permanent one to be placed. The second appointment involves removing the temporary crown and placing the permanent crown. Slight adjustments are made to the crown and you’ll be ready to enjoy a new, full restoration.
